What is the proper way to build Android-x86 kernel ?

Hello, is there anyone here who knows what is the proper way to build a kernel ? I have built 4.19.195 kernel, but unfortunately it is always rebooting after initrd switch_root. I am afraid that I have made mistake in the build process. Thanks in advance for any response.
