Hi,

I just installed Android recently, and struggling on installing IME(s) on it... Is there any way (or even possible) to use other language IME on android-x86?

Tried Google Japanese IME, but didn't showed up on input setting.

Does it show up here? (in Terminal):
~$ ime list -s

Typed it after doing some workaround by installing Google's default keyboard first, then the Japanese IME.

The output is like this:

com.android.inputmethod.latin/.LatinIME
com.google.android.inputmethod.latin/com.android.inputmethod.latin.LatinIME
com.com.google.android.inputmethod.japanese/.MozcService

Installing the Japanese IME only didn't make the IME show up.... but after installing the Google Keyboard (which is redundant, though), it's showed up and properly functional (though it can't be set up like the conversion setting, etc., and didn't works on certain apps like Twitter).

I don't get an idea, why.

You can try if manually enabling it helps:
$ ime enable com.com.google.android.inputmethod.japanese/.MozcService

Then you can also make the default:
$ ime set com.com.google.android.inputmethod.japanese/.MozcService

Good idea. I will try it on new system...

For now, certain apps can't uses that (Google Japanese IME) input. Any idea, or workaround? Or are there any problem solving?
It's kinda tiring to switch apps from Keep to that app only to write with that IME...
