How to disable the grub menu?

How to skip the grub menu OR set as a "quiet boot"  OR  to set the waiting  time from 5 seconds to 0?

I test ubuntu focal, no grub menu and show vendor logo when boot ubuntu.

add support for deferred console takeover, when enabled defers

fbcon taking over the console from the dummy console until the

first text is displayed on the console - together with the "quiet"

kernel commandline option this allows fbcon to still be used

together with a smooth graphical bootup (Hans de Goede)

copy the ACPI BGRT boot graphics to the framebuffer when deferred

console takeover support is used in efifb driver (Hans de Goede)

framebuffer is still showing the boot graphics (e.g. vendor logo) when the kernel loads.

I build Androidx86 kernel enable FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE_DEFERRED_TAKEOVER, but not show vendor logo when boot Androidx86.

can show vendor logo with boot cmdline "quiet loglevel=3"
need edit initrd.img init remove "echo -n Detecting Android-x86..." echo " found at $1"

If you set ' GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT ', you should also set ' GRUB_TIMEOUT=0 ' so that the menu is not displayed at all unless ESC is pressed.

if you use uefi grub2, edit grub.cfg, it's android.cfg of Androidx86, 

set timeout_style=hidden

set timeout=0

i said unpack/repack initrd.img edit init is for silent boot.
