It's been a long time I haven't been and most probably more time I have seen anyone referring to the 1610 device. lol

wacom-input is NOT disabled as it is enabled at complete boot... otherwise you won't have any reaction with the cat /dev/ttyS0 command and with the stylus.

Then you can't find a uinput module as it has been integrated into the kernel so no issue and no need to care about it.

The issues could be either with the missing ts.conf and ts.env conf files so ts_calibrate have no idea where to poll the /input/event-X device, and with the keyboard layout as the P1610 passive touchscreen depends on some keycode with the keyboard mapping... ^^

Good luck.

Hi All,

I'm trying to get an older tablet PC running with android 4.0 (android-x86-4.0-RC2-thinkpad.iso from android-x86.org).  The install went smoothly and everything else appears to be working fine (including wifi!).  Even though the wacom-input service is disabled in init.thinkpad.rc, the output of ps shows that wacom-input is indeed running.  Furthermore, I can cat /dev/ttyS0 and poke the screen with the included stylus and garbage happily fills up my screen.  I've played with using setserial to change the baud rate of the tty (as described at https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!topic/android-x86/HycHHkwaWPs), with no success.  One issue is that cat /dev/uinput gives 'no such device', and 'modprobe uinput' gives 'module not found'.  From what I can tell, there should a device in there corresponding to the touchscreen in there.  changing the entry in init.thinkpad.rc from 'disabled' to 'enabled' doesn't seem to change anything.

any thoughts from anyone?  I'm kind of new at this, never played with android under the hood, but I have a bit of linux dev experience.

Can anyone shed some light as to how to proceed here? I would love to get my P1610 's touchscreen functional. Thanks!
