Hello everyone,

I need an Android-86 in a virtual machine for using an app with Windows PCs. It's no problem to install the ISO files in Oracle VirtualBox or in another VM tool.

But I don't get any security updates. I tried several different versions of Android-x86 (6.0, 7.1.2, CM), but all of these images tell me, that there are no security updates available.

Are there really no security updates for Android-x86? Or is there another way to install updates?

I hope that somebody can help me.

Thanks and kind regards
wbsu83.

We don't have OTA support.
You need to upgrade manually.

Download the latest iso and install it.
The installer will guide you to upgrade
if an older installation is found.

The current latest release it 7.1-rc2.
If you want update behind it,
sync the source and build iso yourself.
