Hi,

So I have a Linx 10 Tablet which is an Intel Bay Trail (Intel Atom Z3735F) tablet that is sold in the UK. http://linx-tablets.com/linx-10.html

It is very similar to the Asus T100 and I even managed to boot Android using the image for the Asus that I found in a previous topic on this google group. https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/android-x86/FUiFCtrgc6I

Using the Android x86 LIVE with the 4.4 r2 EFI image, I cannot use the touch screen, Wifi and Bluetooth are all not working. Ill look for more things that aren't working.

I have the device in hand and I am ready to help get the device fully compatible.

Here's a link to the Windows drivers for the Linx 10: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xepddbnkfqei7zz/10inch.rar

http://linx-tablets.com/linx-10.html and then click Features to see the specifications of the device.

Thank you,
tdarren

Hey Darren

I have the linx 7 with the same SOC.

android-x86 boots but I don't think graphics acceleration is working with this image.

I also tried the android-ia image and this one does have graphics acceleration working but only HDMI is working, lcd screen is showing garbled (looks like its using wrong resolution).

Hi tdarren.

I am building LP to run on my Toshiba encore which I believe it's the same spec. If you want to give it a try.

I have the very similar Linx 8 tablet on windows 8.

Been trying various different android builds on it, and discovered it cannot boot legacy, only 32bit efi.

Every 32bit efi I've tried has booted without display (havent tried hdmi)

Looking forward to getting windows 8 off this tab, android is so much better for tablets.

How could i contribute to maybe assisting on finding out why the screen doesn't work when android is booted?

Debug the display driver and submit a patch.
Trace to code under kernel/drivers/gpu/drm/i915/ first.

some tablets use silead's gsl1860 as touchscreen controller. I think these drivers aren't included in the 4.4r2 release.

Thank you for the info.
Seems there are a lot of touchscreen drivers in it.
But I need someone port it to the kernel we use (android-3.18 branch),
build and test to ensure it works, and then submit a patch to me.

I'm so glad other people want android on their linx tabs.

Regarding debugging. I can't seem to boot while using a USB hub for keyboard and USB stick. I'm not sure how to get a log otherwise.

Booting from sd doesn't work. So my question now is can we set the live boot to write a persistant log to the USB as it boots?

Thanks for all of your replies here. Andrew, I tried that image you provided however I still get the same issues. I've now downloaded Android x86 source from the lollipop branch.

How do I add drivers into the Kernel? I have found my Linx 10 has a focaltech touchscreen controller. Not sure which one at this stage. It also has the RTL8723BS Wifi SDIO Network Adapter, Bluetooth (Hardware ID: ACPI\RTK8723) and the Kionix KXCJ9 Accelerometer SPB.

Many Thanks,
Darren
