Hi Folks,

I'm nearly up to it to throw this f**** tablet out of my Window. I
tried every image of every manufacturer and im getting sick of this
"Error" after trying to enable Wifi. Someone told i have to push the
third button on the tablet to enable the card but it doesnt work.

Now i tried the new Viewpad 10 Android 2.2 Image but it doesnt work
anyway. Also with every 1.6 image you can imagine.

I would be glad if someone could explain how this will work. I dont
have windows on it any longer - so the trick with "go to windows,
enable wifi, return to android and neeeeeeever touch the third button
again"-version wont work. Anyway this is the dumbest solution ever -
but didnt work too here.

Argh... :)

i dont understand this - under windows i got no problems with wifi -
so damage of the card can be excluded. I also installed the ctfpad 2.2
and the new viewsonic 2.2 (same of your link).... and both images -
always directly after enabling wifi - just says "error" :(

I guess the Viewpad 10, CTFpad, iSurf, TegaTech V2 and mine the german
Terra Pad 1050 are the same devices - with same hardware. Cant imagine
that my tablet has a different wifi card than the viewsonic.

Hi,
have you tryed the Img from cartft ? I think it is the best working
for the moment and I have no problems with wifi, just go to settings
and enable wifi...
Problems in this Image are no 3g and no standby...

It is just a customized Android-x86 2.2 iso.

Note some modules of Android-x86 are licensed
under GPL/LGPL.
Viewsonic must provide source code of them.
But I didn't see the code in the download site. They
even didn't mention anything about Android-x86 project.
Viewsonic must correct it ASAP.
Or I may ask gpl-violations.org to talk with them.

PS. Look at how Google handles the issues.
Google didn't release the full honeycomb code,
but they do release the GPL/LGPL parts of honeycomb.

"It is just a customized Android-x86 2.2 iso"

look at the bigger picture...97% of the people don't really care
if you got a "rolls royce or a ford under the hood" they just want it
to work...

credit where credit is due is usually buried in the fine print
somewhere, and only
lawyers read that stuff...
