I am loving the android experience on my netbook. Simple interfaces, less clutter and content driven as key!

However have some questions.

Video:
- What video formats are supported? I tried freetube and everything I download from there I cannot play.

Graphics:
- A way to disable onscreen keyboard?
- Everytime a dialog pops up it lags the computer to death, is this a driver issue?

What version are you running? Android-x86 1.6-r2 or Android-x86 2.0?

Sorry got cut off. I think its less about the formats and permissions.
Seems anything I download I cannot open in another application. So
unable to play videos, and audio files. I got ahold of a youtube.apk
and am able to see videos, but extremely choppy. Then I tried skyfire
browser and those video played just fine, just formatted badly (top
left screen playing at 320x240 rather then full screen.

I can live without video and audio (I have my andoird phone for that),
but I would love to be able to edit files produced by other
applications. I.E download something off my server from a FTP app, and
edit in Notepad app :\

To disable the keyboard on 1.6-r2 go to Settings > Locale & Text > then unselect everything (there's only 3).
for the Audio, there is no drivers yet for audio, unless you run android on a virtual machine within Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X.

Wow, how could you conclude that?
The audio driver for android-x86 is nothing different
than an ordinary audio driver of normal linux.
So, if audio works on your device running any linux distro,
it should work for android-x86.
(provided you compile and configure it correctly, of course)

My audio works just fine, just any audio I download I cannot play in
the music player, says "Unsupported format". Example I can stream the
mp3 in the browser, but if I save it for later to play, and try to
play it with the builtin music player, says unsupported format. The
same goes for video, anything downloaded on FreeTube fails to play.

Worked perfectly! Thanks.
