Dear all

I am trying to install the Android-x86 release iso 6.0 on an INtel NUC 7i5BNK, after processing to the installation process and pC reboot, I get the boot sequence of kernel and then
it gets stuck to the message at the bottom of the screen :  Android root@x86_64:/ #

Any idea what it can be and how to solve it ??

Please note that I am not a linux developper, I simply use the released ISO file

Thanks for your help

Regards
serge

Type "logcat" + ENTER at the prompt ("Android root@x86_64:/ #") and see what comes out of it. Hopefully this will give you an indication about what's not working.

Michael.

Hi,

please provide logcat and dmesg as .txt files
with the procedure provided in the other post.

Have you also tried the latest android 7.1?

Well, what it shows is that surfaceflinger (core Android graphics component) is crashing. There can be many reasons for that, but tracking down that kind of problem is not trivial. So I would follow Mauro's suggestion, try first with the newer version of Android-x86.

Michael.

I get past that but then it goes to black screen... Unless I use "nomodeset".

Ive tried all versions of x86 and the only one that works in my case is the 6.0 rc2... So weird that the ones coming after arent supported on the linx 1020
