Hi everyone.
Great work with this software, you're great!
I corrected some errors on the italian keyboard layout file
(Generic_it.kcm), making impossible to input the '^' and '=' chars.
If someone needs I can send new file.
Bye.

Hi guy, I'm italian and I need this ...

I tried to edit this file on my laptop, but I could not save changes when I finished.
I hope to be able to replace it, because I do not remember if I used read / write
mode during the ICS x86 installation on my fujitsu T901 laptop !!!

If you can send it to me ... my email is ...

I will try to replace the original file and hope it works.

Thanks in advance, Alessandro Augello.

Hi! I'm not Italian )

Unfortunately, I can't save that file (menu.lst) from my ASUS R2H. It can be accessible only from debug mode. But I can help you to edit the file and save changes correctly. It's not so hard.

1. Select DEBUG mode in the GRUB menu.
2. When all activity is done, you will see system shell.
3. Enter command mount -o remount rw /mnt
4. Enter command vi /mnt/grub/menu.lst
5. You will see GRUB menu in editor
6. Using arrow keys move to line kernel /adnroid-… /kernel quit root=/dev/ram0 …
7. Press "a" to append to the end of line
8. Enter "DPI=120"
9. Press ":" (toggle to command mode)
10. Press "x", then ENTER.
11. "Exit" to reboot.

Hi ALEXDAlli, nice to find other italians.
Here's attached the file you need.
To copy it on the right position you must save the file on /sdcard directory, then open a shell with a terminal software and do the following:

$ su
# mount -o rw,remount /system
# cd /system/usr/keychars
# mv Generic_it.kcm Generic_it.kcm.old
# cp /sdcard/Generic_it.kcm .
# cd /
# reboot

If you didn't install OS in read/write mode, you can't remount the directory with rw option, cause it will reside on a SquashFS image, smaller but read-only.
I know there's a way to convert an installation with read-only option to a one with read-write option, but it's not easy cause you'll have to uncompress the SquashFS to a partition and then modify the boot sequence.

Let me know if you get it working.
Bye.

Thank you for the correction.
I've applied it.
