Hey Paulo,

did you try the suggestions? Let me know if it works for you!
I tried getting android-x86 to run on a Fujitsu Stylistic Q550 but
didn't succeed.

I'm also working to get 3.2 to work on the Q550.
Both the Tegav2 RC1 and RC2 images as wel as the Asus RC2 image boot
perfectly but I've never managed to get the touch screen to work.
I think it just needs the 'N-Trig touch screen' driver kernel module.
But by now I've spend many hours on trying to get started compiling my
own kernel (I'm experienced in normal linux kernel compiling) but i
havent managed so far. Mainly because the 'repo' tool that is
mentioned in every how-to is very hard to find, and all the versions I
did find just gave me an error like 'fatal: branch 'stable' has not
been signed'
I finally tried to manually pull the GIT-repository that should hold
the kernel but after counting over 2 million objects it just stops
saying:
remote: Counting objects: 2064812, done.
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
fatal: protocol error: bad pack header
I think the WiFi also just needs a kernel module but I havent tried
figurring out wich one yet.

I just installed Chuan's Dell-image on my Q550, and the touchscreen works fine (without any wlan as he also stated in his post). I would really like to get wlan to function because Win7 just doesn't work on this weak processor.

I just tried the Chuan's Dell image and it works pretty good.  As stated no Wlan/wifi and audio is a little choppy.  Autorotation doesn't seem to work either.

I am going to try some other builds on my Q550 and see how it goes.

Keep up the great work!

This iso won't work on all Fujitsu Touch Tablets/Tablet PC as most of them are using Wacom drivers !!!

Then some of them are using digitizer for (duo) active touchscreen and active pen input (electomagnetic one) : some are responding only to pen while others respond also to fingers, other devices use passive touchscreens (multi or single touch), and finaly some are using passive Pens (simple plastic stick). Not speaking about single touch and multitouch... ^^

AFAIK only T5xx and Q5xx series are using N-Trig spec, so relatively new devices by 2011 or 2010 if you are lucky : Q5xx is ATOM based, but T5xx is Core i3/i5... ^^

If you have an old Fujitsu Touch devices with Wacom serial active touchscreen they should work with the same Wacom driver as HP TX2500 or Motion M1400, but not sure about GPU.
HP TX2500 is running ATI/AMD GPU while Motion M14100 is running Intel GPU so better chance with this one since you stick to i915C and not i965. Motion M14100 is unsupported since Froyo 2.2, I think...

I do not even mention about other spec : wifi, ethernet, special fn or extended touch keys, BT, Camera, etc...

If you have a Fujitsu with USB touch device, you'll have to create your onwn build using existing drivers in the kernel.

If you have a Fujitsu Touch device with Wacom passive Touchscreen/pen : forget Android at the moment... WIP !!!

Cheers

I have tried to build my own from the repo, but I still fail to get the touchscreen and wifi working for the q550. I have been using tegra 2 as the product type. TARGET_PRODUCT:=q550 does nothing for me for some reason. Please help me, somebody. The tegra2 version of ICS flies on the q550. All I would like is a little help. I'll do the grunt of the work myself.

Thanks.

I have reworked my setup and will be attempting this again. I found a
few materials to guide me, but still nothing about the q550
directly... Wish me luck?

My Q550 only found half the networks around me. any network with WPA2/PSK or newer, it would not find.

Hi @ all,
thanks for these news. But how did you get wifi running on q550? Touch works great but i can't use wifi...I can enable it and can see my MAC but I don't see any networks. Any idea?
