Hi,

my Archos 80 Cesium has android-x86-4.4-r3.img installed on it.
Now when i installed Android i installed without a problem but
when i boot after install and go to grub let it boot it just gives a blank screen :L
So i tried it with nomodeset and xforcevesa playing with both of them.
This time i get a blinking cursor and nothing more
I do get A N D R O I D text but no animation after that screen goes black with that blinking cursor/underscore (dunno what to call it).
Can anybody help me please
Having a real hard time figuring it out!

Hi Sven,

I have the same problem on a Lenovo Yoga 500, did you find a way around this?

Thanks,

Nick

you may want to try the 2015-07-27 BayTrail build here:

hi, i just been able to boot android 6.0.1 on my archos cesium 80.
it boots to gui about 1/5 times. most of time i have black screen when starting android..

i have no clue what the problem is. i run it in live mode from usb.

i must say IF it boots in to gui it runs GREAT its really snappy and openGL 3.0 works perfect.also touchscreen works just fine.(the accelerometer also works but 180° off)

no audio/no wifi/no BT/no battery monitoring.

can anybody help me to fix the booting problems?
the times i get into the gui i start with -debug parameters i get a second terminal that tell's me i can switch pages by pressing alt+F1 when i type :EXIT and it starts booting like it should.

what could cause this problem?

kind regards
jan
