My laptop has a Broadcom based 14e4:4328 Dell Wireless 1500 Draft 802.11n WLAN Mini-Card. In lspci I see BCM4321, though I wonder if the PCI ID means BCM4328. In Ubuntu, it works with both the b43 driver in the kernel and the wl driver from Broadcom. The wl driver performs better, so I use it.

I see that Android x86 comes with the wl driver. If I simply rmmod b43 and modprobe wl, that doesn't detect my hardware. The wl driver in Ubuntu has a file blacklisting b43,
b43legacy, b44, bcma, brcm80211, brcmsmac and ssb. I'm not sure how to blacklist in Android x86, so I simply deleted all those modules. Then wl does load, and it does detect my hardware, but it doesn't find any wireless networks. It is exactly the same version as what works great in Ubuntu: 6.30.223.271 (r587334).

I've tried this both in Android x86 9.0 r2 and CM 14.1 r5, with the same results.
