Hey guys, this is my first topic ever on this community, I hope I can help someone down the road!
Well, here's the thing: I have a Samsung NC10 and I'm using android-x86-4.0-RC2-asus_laptop image. It's installed on my hard drive and it's working really nice except for a few things that probably don't work on the Asus laptops.
I'm trying to hook up the netbook to an external display (a 1080p monitor with VGA, HDMI and DVI outputs) through the VGA port, I tried the video=LVDS-1:d video=VGA-1:1920x1080@60 thing and it makes the external monitor work and show the bootscreen (Detecting Android... Warning: Not an Android product... etc. etc.) but then the screen GETS STUCK at a black screen with a hypen ( - ) on top of it.
Afterwards the internal display turns on and starts working again with the Android animation whilst the external monitor keeps showing the black screen with a hypen on it.
If I unplug the vga connector the internal display GETS STUCK AS WELL at the same black screen and no matter what I do I can't get it working back unless I reboot my netbook although I can hear the sound of notifications running on the background or the click sound (this proves Android is still running).
I've also tried plugging my netbook to a 1680x1050 monitor and a 1366x768 SONY TV with same result.
Any ideas how to fix this?
--->Also...the brightness adjustment doesn't work. I tried [Fn+ up arrow], [FN+f5/f6], some other combinations and in-built android's brightness slider with no positive result. Display's brightness is set to the lowest by default, although if I plug in the battery charger before initializing Android, brightness is set to the highest level which sometimes is pretty disturbing.
By the way, screen rotation works for me by pressing F9/F10/F11/F12 twice, F9 is normal landscape view, F10 is mirrored landscape view, etc.
So those are the two more important issues I have, apart from not being able to use some apps due to my "incompatible/unsupported device" or not being able to watch 720p youtube's videos".
Thanks in advance!
