Just wondering if anybody has x86 running on the Chinese Aoson R92
Tablet (this one:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/9-7-Dual-OS-Cam-Intel-1-66GHz-2GB-32GB-WIFI-Tablet-R92-/250871479530?pt=US_Tablets&hash=item3a691afcea
).

It came with Android 2.2 and Windows 7, but I managed to hose the
Android installation and cannot get any of the releases I can find to
work. Can install them no worries but none of them have working
touchscreen. I presume this is a driver issue, and that the OEM for
my tablet loaded a custom copy, but am hoping somebody might be able
to help.

The only information I can find in PC Wizard about the Screen is:

Manufacturer : LP097X02-SLA2
Product ID : APP9CB3

I cannot find anything about what sort of interface it uses (serial,
usb or something else) .

Any help or suggestions appreciated.

Soooooo out of luck it seems.

Still no touchscreen, which is a great shame as 3.2 looks absolutely
gorgeous.

Looks like whatever voodoo the Original manufacturer used is the only
way, and I have no idea what that was!

Oh well....

working but no Touch Screen.
When using android-x86-2.3-RC1-tegav2.iso, Touch Screen is working but

You may try to add
EXTMOD=hid-multitouch
to the kernel cmdline on the asus_laptop.
It will load the hid-multitouch driver forcibly
to enable the touchscreen.

Hi,

sorry to be such a noob but not sure how to do this.

Do I edit the syslinux.cfg file or is it done through the grub menu?

thanks

I also have this tablet:

http://www.ankaka.com/wpad-w2-multitouch-capacitive-97screen-32gb-ssd-flash-166ghz-cpu-2gb-ddr3-memory-hdmi-android-22-window-7-dual-os-tablet_p48150.html

It uses a driver called hid_cdt_mt with kernel 2.6.35.7. I'm not
familiar with this module.

Thanks for the information.

At least I have something to look for now!

How do you find the tablet? I like it with windows 7 (would love to
see Windows 8 on it in time) but miss being able to dual boot into
Android so really want to get this back up and running.
