Can't play videos. The default video player says, can't play this video. VLC and MX force stop. Some low-quality video players can play videos. But i'm not satisfied with those poor apps.
Any fix?

VLC played videos fine for me on 5.1-rc1....maybe something has changed??

Ill post the VLC log here today in some while. VLC Beta works with errors. Like when i play a video, and move the mouse anywhere, the video starts seeking only in the forward direction irrsepective of the direction of mouse movement (even when none of the mouse buttons are pressed)

Hi,
I checked lollipop-x86 on Dell E6420 and Acer Extensa 5620 and VLC works.
Could you provide dmesg, logcat, dumpsys and also information about the GPU in your laptop and the the one you see in the Settings..About Tablet?
