Android x86_64 9.0 rc1 - Any kernel 4.9 version?

Hi all,

May I know if there will be any k49 version for x86_64 for pie rc1?
In oreo I was only able to get rotation to work via k49 versions and it seems it's the same on pie x86 on my Surface Go and HP Elitebook x360.

I built android 9 with patches from android x86 for oreo and kernel 4.9. The Android worked well, but I could not run gapps on it - they fell due to incomprehensible errors that disappeared after switching to the 4.19 kernel. Will the current build of android x86 on the 4.9 kernel work with gapps, I don’t know. If the availability of gapps is not essential for you, then you are most likely to be able to get a stable version of android 9 with a 4.9 kernel.

Thanks for the reply. Somehow I should help contribute to finding out why rotation does not work in kernels beyond 4.9 with those devices...

the Traffic Monitoring on Android 9 affects a lot of places, not only solve gapps.
