Hello everyone,

I kept an old HP550 which I increased the RAM from 2 to 4GB (the specifications are in the link below) to test Android-X86.
The problem is that I managed to run the 32-bit version 6.0 but I can not boot the ISO version 7.1 r1 which seems to me to be an excellent version. I installed the file on a USB key via the Ubuntu terminal and the command recommended on the site but my computer restarts constantly as soon as it reaches the Android-x86 line found at / dev / sda1.

Because of this, I would like to know how to solve my problem because I am new to this field.

Looking forward to your reply, I wish you a good week to you.

Yours sincerely.

Romain

Dear Mr. Romain Clément. Good Morning! I hope everything is right here in your city. As for your HP550 machine, I had a problem similar to what you're seeing. I believe, that the Android system is already installed. And if you still want to have this version (7.1-RC-1), you should proceed as if you were installing, but do not need to click, on the installation confirmations.
In the GRUB insatlador.
Step 1: Create or Modify Partition
Step 2: Select the Partition (Sda1 already installed)
Step 3: (Do not Format)
Step 4: Are you sure you want to format Sda1 (Skip)
Step 5: Do you want to install the GRUB installer (Skip)
Step 6: Do you want to install the / System directory, such as the Read / Write directory (Skip)
Step 7: Nothing else will happen until the installation bar scrolls over the Sda1 partition.
The GRUB installation process will go over "over your previous installation" without making any changes and "entering" the previously installed system (assuming you have installed it in HD) will behave normally. And with the normal installation, it's just to continue testing. You need to download 2 APPs: one to shut down and one to prevent the screen from rotating, even though you have configured to stay "fixed". Both APPs have Google Play.
I've got a "Vfat" logical partition, for physical backup for Android, only under warranty. "I'm not sure if I'll be able to do this. Because if you enable the "BACKUP" option on the system, an image will be "saved" to Google and can be redeemed for each installation.
Then that's it! I hope I have helped Mr.
If you still have questions, let me know!

Prezado Sr. Romain Clément. Bom Dia!
No insatlador GRUB.
Passo 1: Criar ou Modificar Partição
Passo 2: Selecione a Partição (Sda1 já instalada)
Passo 3: (Não Formate)
Passo 4: Tem certeza que deseja formatar Sda1 (Skip)
Passo 5: Deseja instalar junto o instalador GRUB (Skip)
Ambos "APPs" têm no Google Play.

Do you have more error message, log, or some other clues? You may boot in debug mode to collect more booting messages.
I found auto install option in 7.1r1 is very useful. It automatically erase SDA and portion and install uefi and android. This skips some possibilities of wrong partitioning and setup.
