After installing android x86 4.4 r5,it's quite perfect for me.
But audio sometimes crash on my Asus T100.
So I installed alsamixer and tried to edit /system/etc/init.sh as well.
I tried many way like "terminal emulator",some "script editors" and booting debug mode to edit but it still doesnt work. The resault is always permission dined.
I am sure that the device root and chose"yes" about the r/w.
What can i do or What i did wrong?

sorry for my poor English.

Copy it out of the system folder, note the Permissions, change it,
delete the one in the system folder, copy it back, and chmod to
permissions noted....

Dunno why, what I had to do.....

 Thanks,Mike.
I'm actually even not able to delete the file. So I just next chmod to permission.
Though i tried chmod the permission ,it said that it 's a read-only file.

It should not be so you have installed it as read-write.
(check by the 'mount' command)

Did you do 'su' before editing these files?

Remount r/w

mount -o rw,remount,rw /system

I use total commander, if the system is r/o it ask if you want to remount, so the above is from memory... I've had to do the copy/paste thing for awhile.   But I've stuck with 4.4rc2 for years now...

Android's chmod does not support the plus symbol. You need to use full mode with x bit set, eg. 755, 775, 777.

THANKS again , Mike.
It works.TC is a really good thing.
Now I have another question.
I have a s Micro SD card slot on my asus T100.
I inserted the SD card but android x86 recognized it as a USB storage.
Is it possible to turn it recognize as a external SD card for android x86,which i could move app data there.

Lol, Got me on that one, I've been having the same Issues with SD/USB Crap, I'm installed on a Laptop, so, I just go with HDD Storage, and Drop whatever I want into the X86 Partition VIA Linux or Windows With Ext2Fsd....

Thanks for reply.
sometimes i will use ext2fsd as well.
It's a way to deal with x86 partition on windows.
I didnt installed x86 on my SD card because it wont boot.
I havnt use EasyUFI .
But now I'm quite satisfied with my x86 with 8G ROM.
(because my t100 only has a 64G ssd inside,I have to conserve some space for windows)
Just asking if there is a way to let the sd card recognized as a external sd card ,not as a usb storage.

The old hacking cmdline SDCARD=mmcblk1
should work for 4.4-r5.

Alternatively, try the 6.0-rc1 which treats
it as a sdcard natively.
