adb connect to VM - Access to target machine denied

I run Android x86 on a Virtual Box VM in bridged network mode, but when i try to adb connect via the IP, it says that the target machine denied the connection. However i can ping the ip just fine. Any idea what i can do?

Run these on android system and try again;
setprop service.adb.tcp.port 5555
setprop service.adb.tcp.port 5555
stop adbd && start adbd
