I have tried every number I could find and various tutorials. It will not accept a "VGA=" mode always brings me to the page where I can specify vesa or scan which doesn't show any resolutions over like 1150x768 or something around there. Idk if this is a vmware thing or a grub thing or whats going on. I was able to get it working in 1080 on previous versions. Maybe its the version thats the issue idk. Anyone?

For anyone coming across this thread, the easiest solution I found was to use Virtual box and set it to scaling mode for the VM once it's running then use apps to adjust dpi.
