Hello,
is there any support for the Chwui Hi10 Pro planned? The last version is 5.1, and this tablet has a very complicated system with lots of partitions for Android, some with unknown filesystem:
android_bootloader2 (unknown) 100 MiB (hidden, msftdata)
android_bootloader (fat16) 100 MiB (boot, esp)
android_boot (unknown) 30 MiB
android_recovery (unknown) 30 MiB
android_misc (unknown) 1 MiB
android_metadata (unknown) 16 MiB
android_persistent (unknown) 1 MiB
android_system (ext4) 2,5 GiB
android_cache (unknown) 256 MiB
android_config (unknown) 8 MiB
android_data (ext4) 8 GiB
I presume it's understandable to get rid of this weird partition format. Important is the second partition because it starts a selector between Windows and Android on the tablet, using the volume keys.
The tablet has 64bit EFI only and uses GPT, which doesn't make it easier. Although the BIOS has massive settings, there's no Legacy BIOS falback option.
I've booted the 64bit version of Android-x86 8.01 from CD. It worked after the second attempt, but I didn't have support for Touchscreen, WLAN, Audio, Bluetooth and power management - the same issues are also in my Xubuntu installation, but WLAN is working. Here's the
last version of Android 5.1 for the Chuwi Hi10 Pro. Maybe it's possible to extract the drivers from this version into a new version of Android. Unfortunately I don't know how to do it, don't have much experience with Linux-based operating systems. I can provide all device ID's the Chuwi Hi10 Pro has, if this could help. The processor is an Intel Atom X5-Z8300.
Best Regards,
RetroAndMore.
