Hello everyone..

I have TV box, PIPO x7s, based on Intel Z3736F quad core up to 1.33--2.16GHz processor, realtek audio ALCS642 and 32 Gb of storage

I have delete everything on this box and install android-x86_64 4.4 rc3 and 5.1 rc1 also (separated installation of course)

both of them run perfectly on box!! smooth and fast (5.1 rc1 has problems with google play store). I even able install them in way i get 26 GB of storage (when I go to setting ->storage, I can see 26 GB of overall storage)

BUT, no HDMI sound, nothing, nada... after check with command "cat /proc/asound/cards" and got output "no soundcards"

I tried differend solutions includes bios and init.sh but no luck... 3 days of looking for solutions and nothing.. the solution I didnt try is to change c++ file about audio and compile the source - dont sure I can do this

I have installed original PIPO x7s firmware, which got from here http://www.needrom.com/download/pipo-x7s-dual-os/
(this what I had originally) , android 4.4 version (without windows version) and this do have HDMI sound, but this android distribution is very bad, slow and limited only by 8gb storage at all..

Maybe you have solution for me? maybe someone can change some source due original firmware of PIPO x7s (android version)? I really want to use android-x86_64 4.4 (or 5.1 if will include fix of google play store)

Thanks for help :) (hope I wrote this post very cleary, if u have questions, please, ask me)

In theory .
You could extract the folder
/system/lib/modules/xxxxx
/system/etc/firmware
And the kernel
overwrite the old into the new ROM, but it's all too complicated and not necessarily in practice to work

Ok, I dont have linux , only windows, so "sudo..." will not help me..

another question: if I replace files from original image to android-x86, it will not change everything in android-x86 android or damage it?

is any chance that someone who know to do those changes in the image? I don't really know how to do this.. I will upload original PIPO android image by needs..

so everyone who has PIPO x7s can use great android-x86 includes HDMI sound, so it would be great...

Thank you very much..

To work with Android, you need Linux.

If i use android in virtual machine, will i need linux to be installed in it?

Because I want android to be working for whatsapp?

I am using the "android-x86-desktop-generic.iso" file and before that i tried "android-x86-4.4-r3.iso", which shows "error 17" while booting.

Thanks in advance
