Hi

I am trying to run android VM on a cloud. I dont have access to the
web in my VM.

But i want to an application running on it..

Is there a way to install an apk file in a VM without access to the
Web.

Thank you

What virtualization software are using? If you use VHD files, you
might be able to use one of the following approaches:

http://morphett.info/syllable/virtualdisk.html

or

http://www.fs-driver.org/index.html

The last option works good if you are running Windows. You can simply
attach the VHD (Windows 7/2008 R2) in Disk Management and Windows will
natively access the ext2 partition. (In theory, haven't tried). You
can then add apk's to /android-2012-01-01/system/app (location varies
by build date of your install).

Then unmount and run Android again and the app should be there.

I'm going to research this a bit and see if something could be done.
Looks to be a tough nut to crack.

This might be a tough one. You might have to try and load apk's you
want on the actual installation image. I drew a blank trying to figure
this one out.

try this:

use ADB to push apk's to installed image..image installed as R/W..

(make sure the APKS folder is in the directory your working in)

adb push APKS ./system/app

Re-boot your target system and enjoy...

I can do one thing load the apk files in /system/app folder , alter
the scripts and then reboot..

Will the application load this way???
