I am trying to install Android-x86 on Acer Revo M1-601 with 32 GB SSD. I tried versions 9, 8, 7. For some reason it can not set up Grub properly, so it can't boot it. I tried UEFI with SecureBoot disabled, then I switched to Legacy mode. I also tried to install Ubuntu Linux to the second partiton on the SSD and to edit Grub to boot Android. Ubuntu's grub is working well, but the Grub configurator can't recognize the Android and I tried manual settings by many howtos from the internet. Is there any best practice how to manually setup Grub to be able to boot Android-x86?

If Ubuntu is install to a single ext4 partition,
the simplest way to install android-x86 is just
install the android-x86 rpm package.
See the release note:

https://www.android-x86.org/releases/releasenote-8-1-r3.html

The grub entry should be created automatically.
