Hi all,
I've been wanting to accomplish this for a while now, however have not
found a suitable sighted person to help me complete my dream.
I am a blind person who uses android on a jellybean-based phone, and
have also tinkered with the emulator. In the emulator, I am able to
install Talkback and run Android, however for some odd reason the
Google Text-to-speech engine will not work do to lack of certificates.
I wanted to see if anyone could help me with compiling or getting an
android-x86 jellybean image with talkback enabled by default. I was
planning to run this in a VM (so if someone could please set up a vm
with talkback on and android-x86, that would be appreciated too...)
I would love to contribute somehow to the project, however without
being able to set it up on my own or work with it at all, this is
nearly impossible.
By the looks of it, android-x86 does not include talkback by default.
Does it include the Google TTS engine? The Google TTS engine is part
of the gapps for jellybean.
Thanks for anyone's help or advice. :)
all the best,
Tomi
