Deploying fixes for Intel Surface Composer

First of all, thank you for all those that contributed to this thread:

Basically, I rebuilt the ISO image after applying the Intel Surface Composer patch found in the link above. My question is that is it possible to deploy the fix without reinstalling the entire OS. Also, what about drivers that I recompiled under kernel drivers? Is it just a copy and paste operation?
