I have an original Chrome Pilot Chromebook that I have installed the
eee version onto. It looks like it is working great! The only thing
that seems to not work so far is Ethernet (obviously it doesn't have a
port), the Webcam and Bluetooth. Bluetooth would be cool to have on it
but its not a "killer". I would like to get the Webcam working. It's
taken a bit to get used to the buttons but now that I know what is
Menu Home Search and Back it works rather well. I am very impressed.
The CR-48 chromebook has a Sim Chip slot and I do have an AT&T SIM. I
don't know how to code or anything (I'm a network admin guy, not a
programmer) but I would be willing to do all sorts of stuff to my
CR-48 for the sake of testing and perhaps having a really nice build
on it for people since this is a Google product they gave us for free.
I know Hexxah had made a build and had it running on his CR-48, but I
didn't see anything else on it by him so that's why I was thrilled to
find this website and group, You can contact me at my email for my
wife's company and it will forward to my gmail. I look forward to any
dev's that want to make the Chromebook work awesome with Android. My
Samsung Captivate is running CM7 and I love Android and Google. I
really hope something cool can come out of this!
