I have a weird problem. I'm using Android-x86_64 8.1-r1 to run a specific app that always crashes on previous Android-x86 versions. The issue is that the keyboard doesn't always connect when I boot. Ususally it's every other boot, but sometimes I have to boot 3 or 4 times to get the keyboard to work. Sometimes the mouse pointer doesn't work either, though the cursor in the terminal always does. Short of fixing the problem, is there a way to force the connection once the system boots by running an init file or something?
I have tried earlier versions of Android-x86 and they pretty much all work from the keyboard but they don't run the app I like to use.
BTW, my laptop is an Acer Aspire V3-112p w/8Gb ram. Android runs from an ext4 partition on my SSD. I dual boot with LinuxMint 19.1 in UEFI. When Android is working correctly it's pretty damn slick. The app I use is a recipe manager that only comes in Android, Mac, and Windoze flavors. Hence my enthusiasm for Android. The use of a keyboard is pretty much essential for typing and editing recipes into the database.
If anyone wants to see logs make suggestions for boot parameters please chime in.
Thnx
