Hi guys. I very like your idea to port Android to netbooks. It's very
good way to faster manage when I want to get to Internet or music very
fast.
I just started using your project, but I have some issues with it.
Here is my problem:

I downloaded 'android-x86-2.2-eeepc.iso', installed it on USB stick.
When I run it first time I have some issues with WiFi connection, but
I managed it by myself. Ok, WiFi connected, all good, I downloaded
Dolphin Browser from AppStore (which is presentd in menu) and.. it
wouldn't run. I want to start an app, click on it and nothing happen.
Just quick blink on screen, like application is going to run, but
after second I'm back in menu. The same thing happens when I try to
get to internet from standard system browser.
Is there any way to solve that problem? I will be very thankful for
any ways to do it.

How did you get the wifi working? I've got the 1005P and can't obtain any ip adress (neither "normale" nor static), no matter which router i use...

First I turned off WiFi on Windows by keyboard shortcut. Then reboot
computer, started with Android and turned on Wifi at Settings, next at
keyboard shortcut. When Android finished scanning and no network
appeared I wrote network name and password manually. Then it just
appeared that I'm now connected. Hope that will help you ;)

And have you disablet the normal lan connection...

The DHCP client cant get a ip on the wifi if the lan connection is active in android-x86

I’m afraid you may have been caught in one of the nastier conundrums with Android-x86. You bought the software at the android market. The android market sells apps for the arm based androids. It’s native code is therefore arm. Web apps nearly always make low level (native code) calls. Therefore they cannot work correctly on an x86 based machine.

I’m afraid the outlook is not good.

That's not true Fred, most software will work, including Dolphin HD.

Just very hardwarerelated games don't work.

I didn't bought that browser in Android Market but in built-in
shortcut to AppStore - it's already in system and it isn't Android
Market ;)
