Instagram overriding "Rotation Locked"

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I can configure my screen to prevent auto-rotation, but when I open Instagram, it rotates counter-clockwise on its own accord. I'm currently using 4.4-RC2 on a Thinkpad T520. Any help will be appreciated.

Not only Instagram, BBM also do that. Use "Rotation Locker", download it from Google Play Store. (note : didn't try with Instagram, but it should work. Use with your own risk.)

Power Toggles is another great option, it gives you a toggle right in the status bar, so you can turn it on and off on the fly.
