Friends,

Just a few days ago, I downloaded Android X86 OS, which I understand is an Android version for PC. Below is the page from where I have downloaded my iso.

https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fosshub.com%2FAndroid-x86.html%2Fandroid-x86-6.0-r3.iso&sa=D&sntz=1&usg=AFQjCNG7L8e_G8OixLrei83xklXvldwE0g

The iso image I have downloaded is...

Download Android-x86 ISO file - 572.00 MB | version: 6.0-r3 32-bit | File Signatures

After downloading the Android iso, I burned it to a CD without any problem.

I had one 250 GB HDD, and I wanted to install only Android on the entire HDD. I did not want to install Android after Windows and dual boot like many people do. I booted my PC with the Android CD in the CD Drive and changed the BIOS setting to boot from CD/DVD.

As far as I know, I was able to install Android somehow as shown in the photos taken on my mobile during the installation process, which are posted at the below URL

But even after installing Android successfully (at least I think so), I rebooted my PC but Android never actually booted even though I waited for more than 30 minutes.

I really do not know as to what possibly could have gone wrong during the installation. Can you please let me know as to what I could have done wrong. Thanks a lot.

Seems your PC support UEFI booting.
For that, You need to create two partitions.
One is the ESP partition (vfat) to install GRUB EFI
and another ext4 partition to install Android-x86.
Just give about 100MB to ESP and all others
to the ext4 partition.

One more thing I do not understand is why I was able to install a previous version of Android X86 ie  android-x86-4.4-r5 onto the same hard drive (as the only OS) attached to the same motherboard (Gigabyte h61m-s1) without any problems just by following the below video.

At that time I did not create any separate ESP partition (vfat) to install GRUB EFI and another ext3 (ext4 was not available then) partition to install Android-x86. In fact, I did not install EFI GRUB2 at all and only installed GRUB on an ext3 partition.

Here are the photos of that particular installation (android-x86-4.4-r5)

Thanks.

Thanks a lot.

Yes you are right. My motherboard has UEFI support. Model is Gigabyte GA-H61M-S1.

That's for legacy boot device but
your device uses UEFI booting.
(as shown in your figures)

Think I Have The Same Problem, Going To Try Creating 2 Partitions As Mentioned,  (Thumbs Up To - Chih-Wei Huang)

But Works Fine If I Live Boot (Run With-Out Installing So I Know The Computer Components Work Fine)

But Go To Once I Install Ect & Re-Boot & It Fails To Show Any Type Of Grub Menu (Again Im Installing To A Dedicated Hard Drive With No Other OS & With Only 1 Main Partition)

I Get A Black Screen After Bios - Thats It .....Annoying ..... Unlike 4.4 Works Fine & Shows Grub Along With All Previous Editons That Dont Use Ext4

On possible reason that makes the legacy GRUB failed to boot
is you (accidentally) use GPT partition table.
The legacy GRUB won't work with it.
