I think some of you might need this. I ported wireless tools
(iwconfig, iwlist, iwpriv) for v21 to Android. I tried with
MSM7627FFA, but I hope it will work with other platforms. Code
location is as following :
http://sourceforge.net/projects/wtoolsandroid/

Thanks,
Owen

I've always just used ADB which does everything I seem to need...works
fine
over wireless/wired...so what is the advantage of this????

thanks

thanks for the pointer...if that had been posted in the original maybe
I'd have a clue as
to what

"some of you might need this. I ported wireless tools" really
was...!!!

Well, I wondered what MSM7627FFA and/or specifically MSM(7K) means ???

I googled around but could not find an answer...

Its not an x86. Its a Qualcomm chip. Take a look at:

http://developer.qualcomm.com/dev/chips/msm7x27-chipset-family
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MSM7000

The 7201 was the chip that launched the Android revolution - it was in
the G1 - aka HTC Dream.

I guessed it wasn't for x86 as I found it in the Cyanogenmod but
couldn't find any link on it.

Much thanks for the pointers. ;-)

I'll sleep a bit smarter... lol :-D

What is cyanogemod? I just googled the iwconfig and iwlist for some
time, but I failed to find it and decided to port it myself.

Thanks,
Owen
