hi

There is an app store app in the Android-x86 1.6 distribution, but it
seems to be very different from the actual Android Market app store.
I've seen reference to the "Android Market" app but can't find it.
Does anyone have any info/URL to get to the regular Android Market?

For example, accessing the Android Market on the web in a regular
browser/OS gives a very different collection of apps than the
installed AppStore app in A86 1.6 .

thanks

ken

only distributors by google may install the 'gapps' which include the
'android market' as well as google mail etc. as this is a port and
very unofficial android market cant be included so you have to install
apps via sd card or using the included market or another 3rd party
market

can you post a bare SD card image, as in, format SD card via android menu and then:

dd if=/dev/sdb1 of=sdcard.img

I can not make my SD card load by any means, or an external USB that is formatted with any filesystem.  I read that if you have an SD card from Android phone and you copy over the "bare card database" or whatever files are deposited onto the card by Android AOSP formatting, then you can use the card.

I can provide hosting space if you don't have anywhere to put it.  I guess they should be open source and free for us to copy?  I'm hosting Android builds here, so far not found any use for the generic_x86 image

These builds have i915C support enabled for the EeePC 7" models

Thanks!
