I wonder if Waze GPS software will run on android x86 and whether it
will support a HID touchscreen in my carpc?

Unfortunately I would say no. I haven't tried it on x86 yet but I just installed it on my galaxy s and took a look in the apk and it calls out arm. So it looks like another ndk app bites the dust.
