broadcom b43 direct firmware load for ../b43/ucode15.fw failed with error -2

i installed androidx86 5.1 lolipop in lenovo ideapad S10 1stGen
i can not use the wifi because the hardware can not be found in netcfg command
i have downloaded ucode15.fw file and copied that into system/lib/firmware/b43/ and did touch command
i use dmesg | grep b43 command and only find error
firmware file /b43/ucode15.fw not foud

any help?

if i use debug mode, no error found, the wifi can be used flawlessly

I am on Lenovo Yoga 500 and Broadcom not work in Ubuntu too

have you tried blacklisting the wl module on command line....

I'd have to look up the exact commands for doing on command line but am sure you can google it

maybe something like this on grub command line...

wl.blacklist=yes


but would only be good til next reboot....again you can google it and try it...


wl module has been known to interfere with broadcom modules.....need to pin it down first

i have done the wl blacklist
just edit /etc/modules.blacklist

but nothing happen, still error
