Hi, I have been looking for a solution for a very long time, but I couldn't find one, so I decided to ask here.

I have an Acer Aspire d250
Intel Atom N270 / 1.6 GHz CPU
Intel GMA 950 GPU
2GB DDR2 RAM

I installed lubuntu or xubuntu (not sure which one :p) and then Android-6.0-r1. I set up grub using a guide (which I can't find anymore) and it seemed to work pretty well, except that I have to tap shift on boot to get the grub menu, but no big deal. When I select Android, it shows some code on screed, then the boot logo pops up and it stays there forever. I have left it for a long time, first a couple of minutes, then once for around an hour or so.

Any tips?

This device should be fine to run android-x86.
I guess you have set wrong kernel cmdline,
especially androidboot.hardware.
(very common mistake for begineers)
Please upgrade to 6.0-r2 which eliminated
the necessity of this option.
(i.e., upgrade to 6.0-r2 and remove
androidboot.hardware from cmdline)

If you'd like to understand more, search the forum
about androidboot.hardware to see explanation.
