I'm new to "Android x86". I am running "Live" from USB on Dell Venue 11 5130(Atom CPU/2GB Ram). The Camera and mic do NOT work. So, I found the info below; but, I do not understand how to implement it. Camera is turned on in bios. Thanks for any help.
HOW TO MAKE CAMERA WORK
#Here is a note from Chih-Wei

I've made it work. Exce the changes I mentioned, the steps are necessary:

enable camera from BIOS
enable kernel uvcvideo module and load it from init
The tested Eee PC models are 701 and 1000. However, on 1000, taking snapshot doesn't work well. The picture is garbage (only black and green lines). But on 701 it's fine. The difference is 701 has 30M webcam, but on 1000 it's 130M.

The note you posted explicitly references the Eee PC models 701 and 1000. It doesn't apply to your model.

There used to be a Linux driver called atomisp. It was recently removed [1] from Linux 4.18:
  • because it didn't reliably work; it was a staging driver, which meant it was terribly buggy, but potentially on the road to being improved
  • because enough time had passed to convince the maintainer that the driver wouldn't receive the improvements necessary to make it worth the hassle of keeping around. [2]
Your model (and also the Venue Pro 7140 and the Latitude 5175) all would have required a working atomisp driver to make the front and rear cameras work. Without it, no dice. I sympathize with you because I own a Latitude 5175.
