I've tried every possible tutorial I can find online, none work. I get this when I select the option to install after starting my virtual machine, if anyone could help that would be wonderful, thank you!

Hard to say ... looks like you are using a scsi drive but it should be IDE. Not really sure what you have tried .. its pretty simple

Memory 2048
HD 16GB

Change settings .. remove the HD and controller it creates .. add IDE controller ... use existing created HD and change the CD to Secondary Master and add the ISO.
Run the ISO and choose the install ... then make sure you choose the second item and create a partition "full size" and then add the Boot flag. Then choose the first option and format the newly created partition to ext3 and format ... then it should install ... once installed, force remove the ISO and reboot .. it should work.

I have only ran into kernel panic if there is less than 2048 ram. If you try to use less than 2048 ram it will kernel panic on boot.

The case means the init (process pid 1) was terminated
unexpectedly. It's hard to say what happened from
the little info.

Please describe your test steps and configurations
more clearly.

Have you tried John's suggestion?

whenever I set it as 64 bit, the vm doesnt even start and gives me this:
"VT-x is disabled in the BIOS. (VERR_VMX_MSR_VMXON_DISABLED)."

when I change it to 32-bit it gives me the 5 second rebooting stuff.

I'm assuming that you have gone into bios and checked to see if the virtual machine stuff is enabled. Have you tried to install a Ubuntu VM or any other VM to make sure this is an issue with Androidx86 and not just with your system and VM's. Maybe your system just isn't capable of running VM's. Which version of Android are you trying to install... 4.4_r4 should work, 6 is a bit more tricky and well .... i found it to be too buggy to run properly so even when it installed you cant even run it because it gets stuck at the google login during the initial setup of the OS.  As mentioned, you are giving us very little to work with. We have no idea what system you are using... how much ram you have.... There could be a simple issue that you are trying to install this on a laptop with 2g ram and chances are ... it would never run on that system.

It is hard for us to troubleshoot when we have no information about the equipment used or  the processes taken. Like I mentioned, I got the kernel panic if I tried to use less than 2048 ram. If you system doesn't have enough ram to assign 2048 fully to the Android VM it will kernel panic.. even if you set it to use 2048 in VM's setup, I believe it will still panic if it is trying to share that ram with your host VM which will happen if you don't have enough available ram. Again these are just guesses tho because we don't have enough information to do anything else but guess at the hundreds of possibilities.
