Ok, I opened /system/etc/init.sh file using a root file explorer and text editor.
Once opened, I searched for this:

alsa_ctl init $c
alsa_amixer -c $c set Master on
alsa_amixer -c $c set Master 127
alsa_amixer -c $c set Headphone on
alsa_amixer -c $c set Headphone 127
alsa_amixer -c $c set Speaker 127
alsa_amixer -c $c set Capture 'Internal Mic'
alsa_amixer -c $c set Capture cap
alsa_amixer -c $c set PCM 100 unmute
alsa_amixer -c $c set 'Mic Boost' 3
alsa_amixer -c $c set 'Internal Mic Boost' 3

I changed the capture device to 'Internal Mic'. If you are using a headphone with mic, just change the capture to 'Mic'. Also careful with the boost settings:)

Thanks for your help.

But the problem is I am using android-x86_4.4_RC1.iso, and I am not able to the the init.sh file.
I have tried the following command to change the file permission as:

mount -o remount,rw -t ext4 /dev/loop1 /system

but I am getting following error as:
error: Permission denied. Read only file system.

Hi,

I am able to detect the microphone and it is recording voice but the voice is not clear and very low. What settings should I do to make it clear.

Thanks
