Could someone point us in the direction of diagnosing the Sound and LTE Modem configuration issues?
Also, I'd like to define a swap file if possible. This tablet has 4 GB of ram, so I'd like a swap for 6GB as per kernel recommendations. (2GB + RAM, over 2 GB memory. if 2 GB or less, it's 2x mem)
We need some help with a couple of Surface 3 (non-pro) tablets and Android x86. We have a couple of these I bought when they were discontinued with LTE modems and they have been serving our family pretty well under Windows 10 with about 12 hours battery life streaming music all day long in various parts of the house. Though, we want to get rid of Windows 10 as our other Android tablets are better served for streaming and general usage.
Android-x86 7.1-r2
All drivers are the same as the Surface Pro 3 (under Windows)
First off, Android x86 and the CM variant both install fine. Keyboard, touchscreen and pen input all works as expected. Zero issues and painless. The "suspend-n-crash" issue from a year ago has been resolved.
What's not working out of the box:
* No sound at all (though it detects a sound card and has volume/mic controls)
* No LTE/modem detected, that I can determine
* Swap file/space?
I've had Arch Linux installed on this tablet in the past and had these items working with I believe is the same kernel 7.1-r2 is using (or even earlier). However, Gnome nor Xfce is quite ready for Tablet devices just yet. And Android FLIES on these things!
Thank you!
