.... except for the touch screen capability, and the touchpad.  :*(

Would *love* to see this working as everything else is absolutely amazing.  I, however, did only test this as a "run without install" option as I wasn't sure which partition I should install this to.  If anyone has insight into that, that would be great!  Perhaps if I actually run it from the HDD, the touchscreen, and other hardware features may just work?  Not sure.

Your touchscreen needs a driver to work with Android.
Since Chromebook is a Linux device, there should be a Linux driver for your touchscreen.

Can you post the lsmod and dmesg outputs from Chrome OS ?

I would post those if I knew what either of those things are. :P
I'm new at this.  Also, I've hit kind of a bump in the road.  The installation of android-x86-5.1-rc1.iso went smoothly enough.  I didn't want to overwrite Chrome OS, and in the installation instructions, it said that installing it on the same partition as another OS is fine, so I chose "Do Not Format".  Sadly, I don't know how to get back to x86 android after a reboot or if I shut my chromebook.  When the OS verification screen comes up, opening up the boot menu and selecting the HDD that I installed x86 on hangs for hours on "booting...." I may have to choose another partition to install x86 rather than the one Chrome OS is on. Or I may have to bite the bullet and format the main partition?  Not sure how to get back to android at this point.

Take it from the right to Left so you don't screw up your other OS's..

I'm not quite sure how to do that from the installation menu.  Are you saying to go into Create/Modify Partitions?

Ya. If you want to install on HDD just take the partition from the right say 10gigs then install on the SDx/y then grub it and done..

Would I be able to install the touchscreen drivers after installing x86 android?

I went into the custom partition menu but am admittedly completely lost. I see about 12 partitions in random order. The 1st partition is the largest at 25GB though hovering overt that one doesn't list any option to shift it or change its size.

You need to determine your touchscreen make and model first.

Your touchscreen seems to be Atmel maxtouch. That should already be
supported by the current kernel.
Probably need to modify kernel config...

I'm working with a 2GB usb drive.  I was hoping to install this to my partition to my hard drive instead of running it off a stick.  I have to set everything up again every time I shut down my lap top if I run it off the stick.

There was a semi working build on reddit using Atmel maxtouch touchscreen drivers and Cypress apa trackpad drivers. Do you know how I could install cypress apa trackpad drivers in the new android x86 builds?
