It appears git has been updated to 5.0.2_r1 for those who want to download and build their
own iso....

Hi,

I've checked x86_64 build on Dell e6420 and I can confirm that WiFi is working now.
It's the very first time I see WiFi working on x86_64 build.

Thanks

Mauro

It runs very slowly on asus t100 live mode (haven't tried installing it yet, will do later). Can i request android terminal emulator built in, like in KK image? It makes capturing logs easier.

Correction: it runs slowly on virtualbox with vesa mode (obviously).
Sorry about the misinformation.

In the mean time, I did a system-rw install on on Asus T100 and
manually put terminal emulator apk in /data/app using ubuntu. Results
so far:
- graphics is as fast as KK
- wifi doesn't work. Needed
/system/lib/firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43241b4-sdio.txt , works after that
- sound doesn't work. Not sure why. I downloaded
linux-firmware-master-intel.tar.gz as suggested on
http://linuxnorth.wordpress.com/2014/08/28/establishing-wi-fi-connectivity-on-the-t100/
and extract it on /system/lib/firmware/intel, but still unable to get
sound to work.
- bluetooth doesn't work (same as KK)

logcat and lsmod attached.

As a side note, I also tried installing gapps following
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/android-x86/zHygI2kaJJY/iIOl4miU94gJ
, but keep on getting "permission denied" during adb push. Might not
be relevant for this thread though.

Thanks for the good work. I am posting this with your ISO booted from 16 GB USB 2.0 stick. :-)

That means:
+ keybord works. Switched to German version. No problems
+ touchpad works. Fast and precise.
+ WiFi works (password must be re-typed after each boot)
+ sound works
but
- no YouTube video (codec needed?)
- built in camera does not work

o GPS and Blutooth could not be tested
(no hardware)

(Sub) Notebook is a Lenovo U 160.
Specs: http://support.lenovo.com/de/de/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-u-series-laptops/ideapad-u160?c=1

Please let me know if i can help your work: i can post logs or do more detailed tests if you need something special to be tested.

Happy new 2015!

does it have lockups like on KK?

UPDATE:
Each time Bluetooth is disabled after a couple of seconds after I activate it manually.
According to Lenovo support page U160 has a Broadcom chip.

U160 can be sent to "sleep" with hotkey combination Fn + F1 under Win7 manually.
Under Lollipop comes the black screen with Android logo for 2-3 seconds but instead of going to suspend the Home Screen is activated.
And the text I wrote in browser was gone :-(

Best Regards

I didn't test further.

The lockups that I got in KK was mostly when running something heavy
(e.g. a game). And not having gapps means I can't easily install the
game I needed to test that. It worked fine for normal browsing though.

Looking at Asus T100 Ubuntu plus community, some fixes are expected on
3.19 kernel, so personally I'd wait for that before testing lollipop
further. Hopefully by that time we can also get a build with gapps
included (or a working howto on adding them manually)
