Of course, it could be good enough if you don't mind slight stuttering in animations etc. so 2GB RAM and 2 cores/threads let it run quite well! USB/hard drive install would still be the smoothest way though.
For example.. Just a while ago I tried different versions of Windows, Ubuntu, Android and some other Linux distros in VirtualBox, hyper-v and VMware. I gave them 2-4 threads of this i7-7700k, 16gb RAM (half of available), many gigabytes of space on a RAMdisk (10+gbps speed) and a Samsung 950 Pro M.2 SSD (2.5gbps speed) and a GTX 1080 so hardware wouldn't be limiting them...and they still weren't smooth enough for me, stuttering and lagging animations and so on in every OS. Then I installed both Windows and Ubuntu natively and everything is buttery smooth. Android won't boot on my PC due to NVIDIA drivers, unfortunately, but works incredibly well on the Windows tablet I use for reading etc so all is good.
