Hay,

Anyone got any idea about androidx86 on my laptop "HP DV6000"?
I tried Asus isos (like android-x86-3.2-RC2-asus_laptop), but they didnt work.

Hi Raheel, did you try asus_laptop iso¿? try to tell us more about your hardware, generic_x86 iso dont have hw acceleration, I have an DV6 (not same model than yours) I did my DV6 target using asus_laptop target like base,  the thing here is get an iso wich have part of your hardware working, and then bit to bit fix all non working stuff, this DV6000 is just a name for a series like my DV6, to get a list of your hardware try doing lspci and lsusb in some linux distro.

Regards.

Yea I did try asus iso. But this wouldnt run, in fact, I tried all ISOs and non would work. So I found a generic iso and got it working.

Now, the wifi wouldnot start. The light/indicator on wifi device remains off.

Hi,

I got Generic 4.0 ISO from Tabletx86 (http://tabletsx86.org/).

The 3.2 Generic was given to me by someone in this google group. Check other messages for it (it was few weeks back). However, I think their link is dead again so you may have to ask him to upload 3.2 again (i.e. if you need 3.2).

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply.
Could you tell me which one of these you used?
http://tabletsx86.org/android-x86-builds.htm

Or was it not one of those?

Thank you!

Try generic with Ethernet enabled (android-x86-4.0-eth0-generic_x86-20120516.iso)
