Hi!
I am new to VNC and VNC-Viewer on Android and I am very aware to questions of data security. I wonder about the fact, that Android-VNC-Viewer does store the account data only in a small data base without providing more security. Is this feature planned in near future?

Further I would like to build up a safe VPN connection first and after it is established, I want to connect via VNC over VPN. For this I have to use the built in Android VPN feature. Als long, as I have not installed a FLOSS OS like Cyanogenmod etc., I cannot trust the built in VPN. So my question is, whether it is planned, to integrate VPN connection in Android-VNC-Viewer?

Kind regards
Clemens

Using an SSH tunnel should solve both problems. For example, set up ConnectBot with local port forwarding from port 5900 to port 5900 on your destination machine, and then just connect to 127.0.0.1 with the VNC viewer.

FYI, looks like this project hasn't seen any updates since Mar 2011, and I never got any response about the patches I had contributed. I'd suggest trying a different implementation if you want features that it doesn't currently have.
