Yes, I would also very much like to be able to do this.

The reason is that I want to resume a connection to a specific
application on a remote system. I can start this connection using a
bookmark which restores everything *EXCEPT* the input mode. For this
application input mode MPCM is essential and having to manually set
the input mode every time the connection is resumed is a pain.

When I export the connection data, the xml file contains
INPUTMODE="MOUSE" so I assume that the import mode will be restored as
well when starting from the xml file.
