This is ONLY for rooted Nexus One.

This is very functional 2.3 Gingerbread community rom other than the
camera does not yet work.

I'm running this as of one hour ago and yes Gingerbread is the
sweetest dessert yet!

+1 on sweetness. I've been running it for >12h as of this writing. Still a bit rough around the edges but nonetheless a rather solid build.

What else doesn't work and where can one read about 2.2x vs 2.3 ?

The work is moving very fast on this ROM with many contributing that it is hard to say what still does not work.  I would say this probably safe to label as a beta now and would certainly be usable in a day to day environment if you don't mind a couple of bugs.  There are mnay websites details the differences between 2.2.x and 2.3 so I won't try to list them here.
