Hi green people from Hamburg,

we (that is Björn Jensen, Ciprian Ursu and Matthias Friedrich) are quite happy about all the positive feedback and interest we received regarding our Meetups and the DevFest we did together with the other GDGs in Hamburg last year. In this regard a big thank you to our sponsors Google and Xing and all our speakers! You also had part on making the first GDG DevFest Hamburg happen!

Though looking ahead, to make our events even more interesting and let the Android Meetup Hamburg happen regularly, we need your help. In the end, a GDG (Google Developer Group) is about what the group does, not the individual organizer!

We know, preparing interesting and well structured presentations is a lot of work. But we don’t do this to get payed or rated. No one expects a highly professional talk or benchmarks how good it is, instead every engagement to show us your project, your library, your experience or interesting approach on Android technology is a welcome addition to our events and the community! Even when it is just a small hands on presentation without big preparation or even any slides. All we want in the end is to let the exchange of knowledge, experience and maybe opinions flourish and have a good and fruitful discussion inside the community.
