Squeezer needs a Logitech Media Server, it does not connect directly to a Squeezebox player.
You can get the Logitech Media Server here:
http://www.mysqueezebox.com/download/
If you are like, you can get information about the server here http://forums.slimdevices.com/forumdisplay.php?27-Logitech-Media-Server, including a more recent community supported server.
Once you have the server running, Squeezer should be able to find it automatically.
